Cove House
This recently completed oak frame house is set within the beautiful South Hams area of Devon.
The house has been carefully designed to maximise the sloping north-facing site with stunning views of the surrounding countryside, whilst also maintaining privacy for the owners.
The kitchen sits within a projecting gable feature to the front of the property and is flooded with light from the fixed ridge glazing over.
A quirky cut-back in the upper floor exposes a junction in the handcrafted oak frame and provides views from the gallery over.
The simple galley kitchen with large island is subtly set back from the main living space.
Each bedroom has a slightly different interior treatment with exposed oak frame or whitewashed Douglas fir and painted ceiling boards.
Full-height glazing creates light-filled interiors and maximises the view of the garden and surrounding hills.
The main living room is a vaulted barn room with fully-glazed gable catching the morning sun from the east.
